Where to Meet

If staying at Willowbrook Bible Camp, please come to the camp first to leave your luggage before going to the Capitol. You can check into the camp any time between 11:00 and 12:00 noon. Lunch will not be provided on Monday.

Four Day Class:

Go to the Wallace Building auditorium located at Grand Ave. and E. 9th St. by 12:45pm on Monday, March 21. TeenPact staff will meet and direct you to the classroom. Please do NOT bring ANY luggage with you to the Wallace Building.

One-Day Class:

Go to the Wallace Building auditorium located at Grand Ave. and E. 9th St. by 9:45am on Friday, March 25. TeenPact staff will meet and direct you and your parent to the classroom. Parents are encouraged to stay and to observe the class. Bring a sack lunch.

What to Bring

To the Capitol:

- your completed homework with your name on each page
- $18 for three days of lunch or $24 for four days (for commuters)
- a Bible, notebook and pen
- please review our dress code before attending the class

To the Camp:
- bedlinens, pillows, towels
- modest casual clothes for camp life
- games to share
- snacks to share

What NOT to Bring:

- any sort of knife or firearm
- CD players, iPods or any form of thereof

Parking & Directions

A public parking ramp is available one block west of the Wallace Building at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave. Enter off Des Moines St. Street parking is available on E. 9th St., Des Moines St. and Lyon St. For a map of the Capitol Complex buildings, streets, and public parking lots, go to the link provided.

Housing Information

Camp Information:

TeenPact Iowa Residential Camp will be held at Willowbrook Bible Camp. This camp is on a beautiful 12 acre site just fifteen minutes from the Capitol. Willowbrook is located between Broadway and Hubbell at 4375 NE 38th St in Des Moines. See map at link provided. Residential camp students will be transported to and from the Capitol by adults. After class each day, they will enjoy afternoon fellowship and recreation at the camp including basketball, ultimate frisbee, and more. It is a great opportunity to make new friendships from all over Iowa. The evening sessions will include praise, worship, and a speaker who will encourage and challenge the students to live for Christ.

Students and chaperoning parents will stay in cabins with bunkbeds that are separate for boys and girls. The TeenPact guest director and staff will also be available at all times.

Camp cost:
- $125 for 3 nights and 9 meals
- $165 for 4 nights and 12 meals, for those participating in the public speaking class on Friday.
We are in the process of obtaining scholarship funds to aid with camp costs.
Register for camp online when you register for the class.

Meals provided with the residential camp are Monday dinner; Tuesday and Wednesday breakfast, lunch, dinner; Thursday breakfast, lunch for the 4-Day Class. Thursday dinner, Friday breakfast, lunch are included if students are staying at the camp for the public speaking class on Friday.

If you are commuting, you will need to bring $6 for each lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. You may bring a sack lunch for each day.

Commuting students are welcome and encouraged to come to Willowbrook Bible Camp for the afternoon and evening activities. You will need to purchase dinner to eat at the camp for $6/dinner. Sack meals are not allowed.

Parent Chaperone/Drivers:
We need parents to help chaperone and transport students to and from the capitol. Large vehicles are especially useful. If you are interested in chaperoning, please contact Linda Brewer at jebl@msn.com or 515-243-8996. Chaperoning parents who can assist in this way will stay at the camp and receive meals at a special rate.
